36.357208 -82.395817I went to D&J Nails expecting a great experience. I had a friend who went there and got a manicure done, on natural nails, and it looked awesome so I thought I'd try them for Acrylic Nails. I've been trying to grow my nails out for a long time, and I used to be a nail biter... Well, when my nails do grow they are very thin, brittle and fragile. I had tried strenghteners, vitamins etc... but nothing was helping. So I decided to have false nails put on. The guy who did my nails was very nice, but the service itself was horrible! When I left, my nails were super thick and some were crooked. The manager came over and tried to fix the situation, but I still left unsatisfied. I paid and left. When I was almost home, I kept thinking about how I had just paid $22 to have 5 out of 10 nails put on crooked, too thick and I looked like I needed a fill in right then! So I turned around and went back. The same guy tried to fix it and granted he did fix the nails that were applied crooked, but my nails were still not shaped correctly and applied way too thick that I had to stop at CVS to buy a Nail File and Buffer so that I could do the rest myself at home... I should have just demanded my money back, but I don't like showing my ass... That was on Saturday. Today, Monday I've had enough of having playdough nails that I've been trying, unsuccessfully for the last hour and a half to soak off ONE hand... And my nails are TRASHED! Since they're so brittle, the Acetone has eaten my nails away as well, but the Acrylic is still on them, and it's so thin that it should just be sliding off but it's not... I'm going tomorrow to someone who can fix my nails and repair the damage done by this place... I will NEVER be back there again and as I said before, I was expecting a good experience. I had even referred my own clients there (I'm a hairstylist.) Only God knows if they had an experience like this and if they did, I'm so sorry for them... As I said, I'll never be back...
